With approximately 6% added, it achieves a semi-gloss finish in 5 minutes; with about 12%, a semi-gloss in 3 minutes; and with around 25%, it becomes matte. Additionally, by diluting it by about 25%, water-based glossy paint can be applied to vinyl wallpaper.
